Outside of my life as a psychology professor and a PhD student, I am personally styling for and giving fashion advise to friends, strangers, and business owners for different fashion events. Once part of my fantasy life to become a personal stylist and fashion consultant is now a reality (officially)...so excited!!
Similar to my On the road to PhD blog, you will go on several journies with me here, but specifically fashion industry-related ones. There will be photos posted, stories shared, favorties discussed, and fashion fixes.
The first story that I must share is that I have been paparazzi'd LOL. That's right. Last weekend on my way from a mani/pedi. Apparently, a photo of me in Downtown Chicago was taken and pinned to Pinterest. While I do not have a Pinterest account, a friend of mine posted it to my Facebook page inquring if it was me. Indeed it was! However, I do not know who took the photo...now I see how the celebrities feel when their photo is taken without permission. I was a little conflicted because part of me was flattered, while the other part feels somewhat violated. Well, what can I say? Someone admired the style of a stylist and made it viral. I have a photog?! Goes to show that whenever leaving the house that appearance means a lot---you never know who is watching! Still, I would like to find this person, so I have done some investigative work...will keep you updated.
